President Bush's recent signing into law of the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA) is not only a victory for individuals but for biotech and pharmaceutical companies as well.
GINA is the first and only federal legislation that will provide protection against discrimination based on an individual's genetic information in health insurance coverage and employment settings.
